PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod having such a butt cap that an impact-relaxing rubber material hardly comes off. SOLUTION: The fishing rod A is provided, being such that a butt cap 6 is attached to a butt section rod 5, wherein the butt cap 6 has a cap-like butt cap body 6a and a rubber member 7 attached to the bottom surface 6b of the butt cap body 6a. In this fishing rod A, the bottom surface 6b of the butt cap body 6a has a through-hole 6d, which is filled with the fit projection 7a of the rubber member 7 to fit the rubber member 7 onto the butt cap body 6a; as to the through-hole 6d, an expanded part 6e (anti-slipping-off part) expanded toward the inner side of the bottom surface 6b is formed, and the fit projection 7a is fitted into the expanded part 6e to make the rubber member anti-slipped-off to hold it.
