The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition including a Peroxiredoxin II (Prx II) inhibitor, to a method for inhibiting angiogenesis, and to a screening method for inhibiting angiogenesis by using Prx II. According to the present invention, the expression of the Prx II gene or the Prx II protein can be inhibited by increasing oxidative inactivation of a VEGF-induced receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) and reducing VEGF signaling, and using same to screen a novel anti-angiogenesis agent. Accordingly, the composition and method of the present invention can be used for the prevention or treatment of various diseases, ailments, and conditions related to angiogenesis.
