A device for displaying a signal such as an electrical signal (x) comprises an optical guide (18), such as a volumetric scattering bar, defining at least one propagation path for an optical radiation from an injection point (18a) of the radiation, in which the optical radiation propagating along this path is subject to attenuation due to being diffused and made visible outside said guide. At least one optical radiation source (16) such as an LED is also provided, to generate an optical radiation whose intensity is a function of the signal to be displayed. The optical radiation source (16) is coupled to the aforesaid injection point (18a) in order to inject into said guide (18) the optical radiation generated by the optical radiation source.
