WASTEWATER TREATMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD USING BACKWASHING REACTOR

PURPOSE: A wastewater purifying system using a back-washing filtering unit is provided to reduce cost required for implementing the back-washing process by expanding a back-washing cycle. CONSTITUTION: A wastewater purifying system is composed of a first filtering unit, a second filtering unit, a filtering part(111), and a back-washing part(116). The first filtering unit filters solid materials contained in wastewater using at least one back-washing filtering unit. The second filtering unit processes nitrogen contained in the wastewater through the first filtering unit based on nitrification. The filtering part is filled with a precipitated type filtering media, and microorganism is grown on the filtering media. The back-washing part implements a back-washing process with respect to the filtering media.
