PURPOSE: A high intensity polyester fiber for industrial use and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to enhance Polymer purity and a draw ratio by controlling a polyester chip viscosity and by enlarging a spinneret external diameter. CONSTITUTION: Polyethylene terephthalate multifilament is manufactured by solid-state polymerizing, melting extruding, spinning and winding a polyethylene terephthalate chip. The polyethylene terephthalate multifilament spins a spinneret external diameter to 240mm, and a hood heater length under the spinneret to 120~160mm at I level, 120~160mm at II level and 150~180mm at III level.
