A method for protecting electronic document signature is provided, and the method includes: writing information is obtained on a signature side, the digital abstract of a document to be signed is encrypted by using at least one key used to sign, and an encryption result is obtained, wherein the signed document includes an original document; a signature synthesized document is generated, and the signature synthesized document includes the writing information, the signed document and the encryption result. A system for protecting electronic document signature is also provided. The method and the system can validate the security of the document without requiring a special prepositive workflow such as a manufacturing workflow and a validation workflow, and are intuitive and convenient.
