<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for electrochemical element with excellent impregnating ability with electrolyte and an electrode intensity and increasing its electrode density, and to provide an electrochemical element increasing an energy density and an output density by reducing an internal resistance. <P>SOLUTION: In the electrode for electrochemical element, an electrode composition layer containing an electrode active material, a conductive agent, a binding agent, and a high molecular material of which solubility parameter is 12-17 (cal/cm<SP>3</SP>)<SP>1/2</SP>is formed on a collector.
