<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter having a configuration capable of reliably mounting an applied voltage suppressing circuit for preventing damage due to a voltage of a semiconductor switching element, and capable of inspecting its set voltage without damaging IC, or the like, of a peripheral circuit. <P>SOLUTION: The applied voltage suppressing circuit 15 for suppressing an applied voltage of the semiconductor switching element 3 and at least one component, as a component of a drive circuit 13, whose absence causes turning-off of the semiconductor switching element 3, are transferred and arranged on a slave substrate 16 (second substrate) having a configuration separated from a master substrate 17 (first substrate) and electrically connected thereto, the master substrate on which the semiconductor switching element 3, the drive circuit 13 and the control circuit 8, or the like, are mounted. Also, part of mounting at least the one component is provided on the master substrate 17, thereby eliminating the necessity of the slave substrate 16 if the applied voltage suppressing circuit 15 is not chosen, and prohibiting the mounting of the slave substrate 16 when at least the one component is mounted on the master substrate 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
