PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermocurable resin composition which makes it possible to obtain a transparent cured resin that has a high refractive index and is excellent in heat resistance and mechanical strength and to provide a polysiloxane-epoxy composite resin, especially, an optical resin. SOLUTION: The thermocurable resin composition includes: (A) polysiloxane which contains 5-90 mol% D units derived from aromatic ring-containing dialkoxysilane and 95-10 mol% T units derived from reactive cyclic ether group-containing trialkoxysilane at random, has 1,000-30,000 weight-average molecular weight and contains a reactive cyclic ether group; (B) an aromatic ring-containing epoxy resin having 100-1,000 (g/eq) epoxy equivalent; and (C) a curing agent.
