PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an objective and efficient method for discriminating the varieties of lavers for protecting the right of a grower of the varieties having the registration of seedlings, and primers used for the same. SOLUTION: This method for discriminating the varieties of the lavers is provided by using the DNA of a test sample as a template, amplification-treating by using the total 18 primer sets having the base sequences of sequence number (2n-1) and 2n (wherein, n is an integer of 1 to 18) or their complementary base sequences, and comparing the obtained amplified product patterns for each of the primer sets with the patterns of previously prepared known varieties, and the primers used for the same are also provided.
