PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which efficiently distributes irradiating light from a light emitting member to a subject, and achieves low power consumption, miniaturization and reduction of cost. SOLUTION: In a digital camera 100 functioning as the imaging apparatus, a camera body 110 has a lens barrel 30 inside which an imaging lens 1 is incorporated on the front surface. Four light emitting elements 17a to 17d functioning as the light emitting member 17 are disposed at the edge part of the lens barrel 30, and also a reflection member 40 is disposed thereat. When photographing a close-range subject, what is called macrophotography, the lens barrel 30 is extended in a forward direction of the camera body 110, and also illuminating light from the light emitting elements is radiated to the subject.
