PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antiallergenic composition processable particularly to nonwoven fabrics, fibers or textile products without causing discoloration while providing wash durability, and nonwoven fabrics, fibers or textile products having antiallergenic properties. SOLUTION: The antiallergenic composition includes tannic acid and polyvinyl alcohol in a weight ratio of 10:1 to 1:1. The composition reduces the allergenicity of allergens such as mites and cedar pollen and imparts a wash-durable allergenicity-reducing function to fibers or textile products such as carpets, tatami mats, bedclothes, curtains, clothes, stuffed toys, masks, filter materials, and dust bags for electric vacuum cleaners.
