PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron core for transformers that suppresses a decrease in an existence ratio of a magnetic material in the iron core, and is miniaturized and made light and reduces an excitation inrush current. SOLUTION: A plurality of loop-like magnetic blocks 11 are stacked in a radial direction. For each magnetic block, a plurality of grain-oriented silicon steel plates 12 are stacked in a radial direction, and a position of a cut section 13 formed between both tips of the respective grain-oriented silicon steel plates is shifted for formation. An outer surface in a lamination direction and/or an inner surface in a lamination direction near the cut section at the tip of each grain-oriented silicon steel plates are coated with a non-magnetic paint and a non-magnetic film 16 is provided.
