PURPOSE: A method and a system for embodying a remote control help session about a computing device are provided for a service provider to diagnose, repair, and/or optimize the computing device. CONSTITUTION: A RPAT(Remote Pc Assist Technology) online service infrastructure is safely connected to a final user computing device(508). A RPAT online service is safely connected to the professional service PC of the service provider(510). The RPAT online service links the professional service PC with a PC session marked with a passcode(512). The RPAT online service enables the professional service PC to connect to a malfunctioning computing device through the RPAT online service infrastructure(514).
