DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING POWER SUPPLY OF EQUIPMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for controlling a power supply of equipment that reduces electric power needlessly consumed by equipment which has been powered on without user intent.

SOLUTION: The device for controlling the power supply of the equipment decides whether the powered-on equipment is left for a predetermined time after the equipment has been powered on without user intent; and provides information about asking whether a user allow the power supply of the equipment to be cut off when it is decided that the equipment has been left for the predetermined time. Furthermore, the device decides whether the user indicates his/her intention to allow the power supply of the equipment to be cut off after the information has been provided; and cut off the power supply of the equipment when it is decided that the user has indicated his/her intention.
