PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus or the like highly accurately detecting a focus detection point and focus detection data when images are captured, recording them in an image file, and effectively utilizing the data later. SOLUTION: A phase difference AF function is mounted on a dedicated AF sensor of a digital camera. An imaging-surface phase difference AF function is mounted on the imaging device. In converting the actually captured images into an image file, the data of an imaging-surface phase difference AF from the image file (imaging-surface phase difference AF routine) and data from a phase difference AF by the dedicated AF sensor (phase difference AF routine) are recorded in the image file, according to the reliability of the data.
