PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-frequency coupler and a communication system for communicating large-capacity data efficiently in a wide band at a short distance. SOLUTION: The communication system includes a transmission-side high-frequency coupler 10A and a reception-side high-frequency coupler 10B. The high-frequency couplers 10A, 10B comprise a radiation plate 11 for transmitting and receiving high-frequency signals to and from the outside, a matching circuit 15, and a communication circuit 20 for processing a high-frequency signal. The matching circuit 15 is coupled to the radiation plate 11 and the communication circuit 20, and achieves impedance matching in a prescribed frequency band between the radiation plate 11 and the communication circuit 20. The resonance frequency of the radiation plate 11 is set higher than the frequency of a high-frequency signal to be transmitted and received. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
