PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical polyester film not recognizing a light interference color when it is arranged as a polarizing plate in the state of cross nicol and observed, being also excellent in UV ray absorption characteristic, capable of easily performing inspection of defects and foreign matter and being preferably used for protection of the polarizing plate. SOLUTION: The optical polyester film is characterized in that the thickness of the film is 1-12μm, the film haze is 8.0% or less and the MOR-C value measured by a micro-wave system molecule orientation meter is 3.0 or less.
