PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint fitting for stably connecting adjacent grid fences installed by a free pole system over a long period of time. SOLUTION: This joint fitting 2 is formed integrally by press working a steel sheet in such a manner that a pair of front and rear holding sheets 21a, 21b are flexibly joined to each other by a thin band-like flexible connection band 25 at the lateral one end and at the center position in the vertical direction, end closing sheets 27a, 27b having U-shaped slits 28, respectively, in the longitudinal direction are provided to the other ends of the holding sheets so as to project therefrom, and opposed small projections 29 project, in the opposing direction, from the upper and lower ends of the pair of front and rear holding sheets at the lateral center position. The joint fitting 2 is applied to the intersection of the vertical and lateral steel wires 11a, 11b of the grid fence 1, and a screw 3 inserted into the holding sheets 21a through a screw through-hole 23 is screwed into a nut 24 on the other holding sheet 21b to connect the grid fence 1 so that the intersection can be held.
