PURPOSE: A high performance radial tire is provided to use effectively as a stiffener for a rubber product like a tire and a belt or to use for other industrial purposes by having excellent dimensional stability and strength. CONSTITUTION: A high performance radial tire includes a pair of parallel bead cords, one or more radial carcass plies(12) winding on the circumference of the bead cores, a belt layer piled on the outer circumference of a carcass, and a circumferential belt reinforcement layer formed on the outer circumference of the belt layer, wherein the carcass ply includes a dip cord manufactured with polyethylene terephthalate fiber, and the polyethylene terephthalate fiber has specific viscosity of 0.90~~1.05, strength of over 9.5g/d, elongation of over 12%, birefringence of over 0.20, density of 1.381~1.398, and contraction of 5~8%.
