<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide granulated PAS which has a high melt flowability, has a large weight-average particle diameter, and is excellent in usage. <P>SOLUTION: When polyarylene sulfide is manufactured by reacting a sulfide agent with a dihalogenated aromatic compound in an organic polar solvent in a temperature range of ≥200°C and <280°C under presence of at least one compound selected from among an organic carboxylic acid metal salt, an alkali metal chloride (here, excluding sodium chloride), an organic sulfonic acid metal salt, a sulfuric acid alkali metal salt, an alkaline earth metal oxide, an alkali metal phosphate and an alkaline earth metal phosphate, the dihalogenated aromatic compound of ≥102 mol and <110 mol is prepared to the sulfide agent of 100 mol, and [process 1] is reacted in a temperature range of ≥245°C and <280°C for ≥5 min and <80 min including temperature rising and lowering time, and [process 2] the PAS is recovered with a quench method following the process 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
