<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a processing amount for detecting a circular graphic included in an image even when coordinates of some pixels of the circular graphic are unknown. <P>SOLUTION: A low-resolution image generating unit 12 generates a low-resolution image. A circle detecting unit 100 detects an edge of the circular graphic and a center point of the circular graphic by using the low-resolution image. An area setting unit 15 sets an area including the circular graphic in the areas of the image based on the edge of the circular graphic and the center point of the circular graphic, which are detected by the circle detecting unit 100. The circle detecting unit 100 detects the edge of the circular graphic and the center point of the circular graphic by using the image of the area set by the area setting unit. A radius calculating unit 16 calculates a radius of the circular graphic from the edge of the circular graphic and the center point of the circular graphic, which are detected by the circle detecting unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
