<p>The invention provides a method for backing up Automatic Switched Optical Network (ASON) data automatically in communication technology field. The method includes following steps: searching the network so as to obtain the basic information of accessible network elements; according to the obtained basic information of accessible network elements, selecting network elements in normal ASON operation states from said accessible network elements as the backup network elements; logging on the backup network elements, copying and storing the ASON data of the backup network elements. The invention also provides a device for backing up the ASON data automatically, a method for restoring the ASON data automatically and a device for restoring the ASON data automatically. With the invention, the ASON data of the network elements can be backed up and restored, therefore the operation reliability and robustness of the ASON network are improved, and the loss of users during network failures is reduced.</p> |
