PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing functional yarns is provided to prepare yarns which maximize effects of illite mineral and advantages of polypropylene while compensating disadvantages of polypropylene. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing functional yarns comprises a step of blending medical plant extract and seaweed extract powdered in 10,000 mesh with illite micropowder in which a solid concentration is 10~15%, a particle size is 1.27 micron or less, and specific surface area is 10,000~20,000 cm/g in a constant ratio in order to exhibit optical functions. A method for preparing filaments comprises the steps of: blending the composition with polypropylene chips to prepare master chips; drying and spinning the master chips; and extending the obtained yarns to 3-7 times. |
