PURPOSE: The portable terminal and operation control method thereof are provided to performing various colors of changes or a correction of color according to an operation environment by using a color detected through a color sensor. CONSTITUTION: An illumination module(156) is arranged in a main body. The illumination module outputs illumination light. A color sensor(147) senses a around color of the main body. A controller(180) decides a output color that is over standard value and detected through the color sensor. The controller operates the illumination module for emitting illumination light that has the output color.
