PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition containing Eupatorium japonicum extract is provided to suppress cancer metastasis without side effects and cytotoxicity. CONSTITUTION: An anticancer composition contains 0.001-99.9 weight% of Eupatorium japonicum extract as an active ingredient. The Eupatorium japonicum extract is isolated from Eupatorium japonicum flower using water, alcohol of 1-5 carbon atoms, or mixture thereof. The Eupatorium japonicum extract is a fraction prepared using hexane, methylene chloride, or ethyl acetate. A composition for preventing or treating cancer contains the anticancer composition as an active ingredient.
