<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the lengthening of a time required for drying by suppressing a decrease in the flow rate of drying air due to catching of lint by filter sections. <P>SOLUTION: The clothes dryer includes a lint removal device 38 for scraping off the lint caught by a dry filter device 31, wherein the lint removal device 38 includes a rotary shaft 39 provided in parallel to the lint catching face of a first filter section 34, a sheetlike vane 40a extending from the rotary shaft 39 towards the lint catching face of the first filter section 34, and a motor 44 driving the vane 40a to rotate about the rotary shaft 39, and vane position detecting means 42 which sets the operation stop position of the vane 40a to be substantially parallel to the flowing direction of the drying air to be introduced in the first filter section 34. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
