PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound signal processor for fixedly keeping an average volume to be outputted regardless of a content to be inputted.

SOLUTION: The sound signal processor 1 includes: an input level detecting part 12 for successively detecting input levels; a gain control unit 14 for amplifying or attenuating a sound signal; and a microcomputer 13 for setting the input/output characteristic of the gain control unit 14 according to an average or distribution to be time-sequentially calculated of the input levels which are successively detected by the input level detecting part 12.
