<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for treating metal residues, in each of which hexavalent chromium in the metal residues is removed suitably to reduce the cost required to treat the metal residues, and the value of the treated metal residues is enhanced. <P>SOLUTION: The method for treating metal residues includes a step of mixing/reacting the metal residues containing hexavalent chromium with methanol and nitric acid to reduce the hexavalent chromium in the metal residues into trivalent chromium and remove the hexavalent chromium from the metal residues. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
