PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component hardly causing a disconnection even when a cable is pulled. SOLUTION: The electronic component includes a resin case 2 housing an element, a cable 7 connected to the element and extending out of the resin case 2, and a lid closing the resin case 2, wherein the resin case 2 has a first wall defining a first edge contacting the lid, a cable inserting section 23 formed with a first slit 23a opening on the first edge and a second slit opening on an inner surface of the first slit 23a and extending in a direction perpendicular to the first slit 23a is defined by the first wall, the cable 7 extends to an outside of the resin case 2 through the second slit after being dropped into the first slit 23a, the lid is provided with a partition plate inserted into the first slit 23a as being attached to the resin case 2, and the cable 7 is held by the partition plate and the cable inserting section 23.
