PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of an abnormal measured value of unknown cause occurring even if a blocking agent is used in the test of allergy using solid phase sandwich immunoassay. SOLUTION: This allergy testing method quantifies the IgE antibody to a specific allergen in a blood sample by the solid phase sandwiching immunoassay. A ligand capturing antibody or the spacer bonded to the ligand capturing antibody is adsorbed and fixed on a solid phase carrier to get the protein adsorbing region other than the ligand capturing antibody adsorbing region or spacer adsorbing region of the solid phase carrier sealed by the blocking agent, next to get a composite of the specific allergen bonded to a ligand and the IgE antibody to the specific allergen sandwiched between the ligand capturing antibody and a labelled anti-IgE antibody, and next to get the labelled anti-IgE antibody subsequently detected, wherein the blocking agent comprises a synthetic polymer not originated from animals and plants.
