PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image information detection device with radio functions, capable of performing communication with external devices even when radio communication is difficult or inappropriate. SOLUTION: The image information detection device 1 with an image information detection part 12 includes a radio communication part 31 and a wire communication part 32. Both communication parts 31 and 32 are constantly connected to a communication control part 23 in such way that the transmittable setting is changeable to set either one of them transmittable. The radio communication part 31 has a signal transmission function and a signal receiving function. In a case where the transmittable setting is changed from the radio communication part 31 to the wire communication part 32, part of the functions of the radio communication part 31 are stopped, but other functions maintain an operable state.
