PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate vaporization of injected fuel even if a heater or the like is not used in an internal combustion engine using alcohol fuel. SOLUTION: The internal combustion engine 10 includes an intake port injection valve 34 for injecting alcohol fuel toward a spray receiving wall 24a of an intake port 24. A hot water passage 44 supplied with hot water from a warmth keeping tank 46 is provided in the interior of the spray receiving wall 24a. At the starting of the internal combustion engine, the split injection control is performed to split and inject fuel of quantity to be burnt in one combustion stroke at two or more times separately. Thus, the split injection of fuel and the hot water passage 44 are combined to stably vaporize alcohol fuel in the intake port 24 even at the low-temperature starting. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
