PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lever type connector not large-sizing a lever type connector body and keeping an engagement completion state. SOLUTION: The lever type connector includes an equipment side and an electric wire side housings which can be engaged each other in a prescribed engagement direction, a cam pin 14 protruded in the equipment side housing 11, a lever 33 supported in the electric wire side housing in a free rotation around a rotation shaft and having a cam groove 38 to be engaged with the cam pin 14, a holder 34 held in a free sliding in the electric wire side housing, a connection pin 39 arranged on the lever, and a connection groove 43 to be engaged with the connection pin, and when the holder is operated in an engagement direction to rotate the lever, both of the connector housings are engaged.
