PURPOSE: A portable terminal and operation control method are provided to conveniently select or use one of a geo-tagged information on a screen of a limited size. CONSTITUTION: A display unit(151) displays a divided map by a small longitude block and a latitude block. The display unit displays an identification symbol that shows whether the geo-tagged information exists or not in an each block. A controller(180) displays the thumbnail image that is corresponding to the geo-tagged information in the selected block on a display unit when the controller selects one in the blocks. A screen that includes an enlarged image corresponding to the selected thumbnail is displayed on display unit when the controller selects one of the thumbnail images.
