PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine and extract a target object region from a specified region when an arbitrary object in an image is specified. SOLUTION: An object region extraction apparatus for extracting a predetermined object region from an image includes: a specification means for specifying a region including the predetermined object from the image; an extraction means for extracting a feature value of the predetermined object from the region specified by the specification means; a detection means for detecting positional deviation of the predetermined object in the specified region based on a distribution state of feature pixels in which each feature value is coincident with the feature value of the predetermined object included in the specified region; and a correction means for correcting the position of the specified region so that the positional deviation of the predetermined object in the specified region is reduced. The extraction means extracts the feature value by using at least either one of a hue component and a brightness component of each pixel in the specified region, and extracts the feature value by changing the weight of the hue component and the brightness component, according to color information obtained from the object.
