PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring instrument capable of measuring a convex shape easily and with high accuracy, even in the case of one worker. SOLUTION: The measuring instrument 1 for measuring the length between two points interposing the convex shape between in a measuring object having the convex shape, includes: an implement 2 having a first member 2A and a second member 2B which come in contact with both sides interposing the convex shape between; a belt-like measure tape 41 whose end 43 is fixed to the first member 2A; and cushioning materials 31, 32 which are provided on the surfaces of the first member 2A and the second member 2B, to adhere the measure tape 41 closely to the convex shape along it.
