PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerating apparatus capable of preventing disadvantage of melting of a refrigerant into oil even at a low outside air temperature and to smoothly return the oil to a compression device. SOLUTION: This refrigerating apparatus R in which a refrigerant circuit 1 is composed of a compressor 11, a gas cooler 46, main throttle devices 62A, 62B, and evaporators 63A, 63B, and which obtains a supercritical pressure on a high pressure side, further includes an oil separator 44 for separating the oil in the refrigerant discharged from the compressor 11, an oil return circuit 73, an oil cooler 74, an oil bypass circuit 78, a solenoid valve 79, and a control device C controlling the solenoid valve to return the oil in the oil separator to the compressing means without passing through the oil cooler.
