<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric element capable of proofing use of long period of time by suppressing deterioration of drying agent and power consumption, and to provide an ink jet head and ink jet recording device. <P>SOLUTION: The ink jet head 303 includes a piezoelectric material 30, electrodes 20 and 40 applying an electric field to the piezoelectric material 30 in a predetermined direction, and a humidity maintaining means which maintains the humidity near the piezoelectric material 30 at constant. The ink jet head further has a control means 222 which does not actuate the humidity maintaining means while un-driving the piezoelectric material 30, and actuates the humidity maintaining means while driving the piezoelectric material 30. By opening an on-off valve 236, the drying agent 238 provided to a drying agent housing chamber 240 absorbs moisture in a piezoelectric material housing chamber 232, and by lowering the humidity of the atmosphere near the piezoelectric material 30, the humidity can be controlled. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
