PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding material having sufficient impact resistance (especially charpy impact strength), high rigidity (flexural modulus) and sufficient gas-barrier property and being also excellent in metal-peeling off property.

SOLUTION: The molding material includes a cellulose derivative containing at least one group (B) in which a hydrogen atom of a hydroxyl group contained in the cellulose is substituted by an acyl group: -CO-RB(RBrepresents a hydrocarbon group), and a vinyl alcohol based resin.
