<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reducing heat of hydration of a cement composition capable of reducing the heat of hydration while maintaining the strength developability of mortar and concrete. <P>SOLUTION: The method for reducing heat of hydration of a cement composition includes a process which adjusts the unit requirement of raw materials chosen from the group consisting of limestone, coal ash, clay, blast furnace slag, soil generated from construction, sewage sludge and iron source and fires the cement clinker, and a process which mixes and grinds the cement clinker and gypsum and produces a cement composition, wherein the unit requirement of raw materials is adjusted based on a color tone b value of the cement composition.
