PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a housing structure of an airbag for a vehicle achieving a reduction in the weight of a housing for housing an airbag cushion by providing a large hole area on the side surface of the housing, appropriately suppressing the rotating action of a frame piece due to an expansion pressure of the airbag cushion, and properly deploying and expanding the airbag cushion from the housing. SOLUTION: The housing structure of an airbag for a vehicle includes: a bottom housing member 2 for supporting the airbag cushion 4: an upper housing member 3 which is provided above the bottom housing member and in which a rectangle-shaped opening P through which the airbag cushion deploys and expands outward is formed by being surrounded by first frame pieces 10, 11 and second frame pieces 12, 12 from all directions, the opposed two first frame pieces are connected to the bottom housing member, and a hole area H is formed between the other opposed two second pieces and the bottom housing member; and tongues 15 projecting on the second frame pieces and connected to the bottom housing member to prevent the rotating action of the second frame pieces.
