PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein, in a saturation correction function of vividly correcting a vivid object to match impression of a person, the correction has not been able to be performed after determining whether correction for increasing vividness should be performed by evaluating an object to be imaged. SOLUTION: The image processing method includes: an acquisition step of acquiring image data; a determination step of determining whether an object of the image data is vivid based on saturation information of the image data; and a correction step of correcting vividness with a large correction width relative to the case where the brightness of the image data is second brightness weaker than first brightness when the brightness of the image data is the first brightness in the case where the object is determined to be vivid, and not correcting the vividness of the image data or correcting the vividness of the image data with a small correction width when the object of the image data is determined to be not vivid.
