PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problems: in conventional file storage, the directory configurations of a server or a user terminal can be displayed, while the directory of a storage candidate cannot be displayed based on the retrieval information such as a file name or the name of creator, so that a user is required to select a storage directory by repeatedly selecting the directory hierarchy. SOLUTION: The file storage candidate display system is provided with a file information DB that stores the file name or the name of creator of an existing file is stored when the file is stored, and a character determination information DB, and configured to compare the file information DB with retrieval information to be input by a user for determination.
