PURPOSE: A method for separating active ingredients within terephthalic acid residues using a sublimation method is provided to selectively separating benzoic acids, p-toluene acids, and 4-carboxy benzaldehyde as active ingredients usable in wastes discarded with crude terephthalic acid residues and purified terephthalic acid residues. CONSTITUTION: A method for separating active ingredients within terephthalic acid residues using a sublimation method comprises the steps of: (i) washing and filtering terephthalic acid residues to remove organometallic compounds and catalysts; (ii) drying the terephthalic acid residues from which the organometallic compounds and catalysts are removed; and (iii) injecting the dried terephthalic acid residues into a sublimation device to separate active ingredients.
