PURPOSE: A method for developing transgenic Cymbidium plant using a gene gun is provided to establish transformation of high efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A method for developing transgenic Cymbidium plant using a gene gun comprises a step of enhancing gene transplantation efficiency by rotating a medium containing a protocorm in 90 degrees. The method comprises a step of adding osmoregulation agent to the solid medium to enhance gene transplantation efficiency.
