PURPOSE: An expansion rod of an earth auger machine is provided to safely perform a ground excavation work and to reduce construction time by controlling the expansion rod. CONSTITUTION: An expansion rod of an earth auger machine comprises multiple movable connection protrusions(5), upper and lower receiving spaces(6a,6b), multiple fixed connection protrusions, separation prevention protrusions(64), and an entrance passage. The movable connection protrusions are formed in both sides of an inner rod to rotate an outer rod. The upper and lower receiving spaces allow the movable connection protrusions to be detachably inserted into the receiving spaces. The fixed connection protrusions receive torque from the movable connection protrusions. The separation prevention protrusions prevent the movable connection protrusions from being separated from the upper and lower receiving spaces. The entrance passage guides the movable connection protrusions.
