<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic material applicator capable of retaining only a predetermined amount of cosmetic material out of a large amount of cosmetic material. <P>SOLUTION: This lip cosmetic material application device 1 includes the cosmetic material applicator 2 which applies the cosmetic material 4 to the lips and a container 3 which contains the cosmetic material 4, and the applicator 2 can freely extend from and retract into the container 3 through the mouth section 33 of the container 3. The applicator 2 is provided with: an application section 21 which has an application surface 21A for applying the cosmetic material 4 and includes a flat body; and a support shaft 22 whose front end is connected with the application section 21.
