<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent information leakage without reducing user convenience when a plurality of runtime environments can be used interchangeably. <P>SOLUTION: An execution unit 111 executes, as an active runtime environment, one of a plurality of runtime environments E1, E2 and E3. They are provided with individual clipboards C1, C2, and C3, respectively, and prevented from accessing a clipboard assigned to other environments. A decision unit 113 decides, when the active runtime environment is switched by a switching unit 112, whether an item of data written to a clipboard of a runtime environment that is active before the switching should be copied to a clipboard of a runtime environment that will become active after the switching, by referring to an attribute of at least one of the runtime environment that is active before the switching and the runtime environment that will become active after the switching.
