<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration in steering feeling when sensorless control is executed. <P>SOLUTION: A dead zone processing part 112 inputs a calculated induced voltage e' calculated by an induced voltage calculating part 111, and performs the dead zone processing of the calculated induced voltage e' with reference to a dead zone processing map when the magnitude of a steering torque Tr is larger than set torque Tr0 in accordance with a dead zone designated signal S output from a dead zone changing part 113, and does not perform the dead zone processing of the calculated induced voltage e' when the magnitude of the steering torque Tr is smaller than or equal to the set torque Tr0. Accordingly, a steering wheel is not vibrated when steering is held.
